Destiny Wagner, 25, of Punta Gorda, Belize is Miss Earth 2021. She is the first ever Miss Earth from Belize.
From 2015 to 2018, Wagner attended the Lubin School of Business of Pace University in New York City, New York, United States where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and entrepreneurship. From October 2018 to July 2019, she worked for the New York Mets in Flushing, New York as an inside sales representative.
Miss Caribbean United States 2016
On March 19, 2016, Wagner represented Belize at Miss Caribbean United States 2016 at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in New York City. Mariel King hosted the coronation ceremony, which featured performances by Kali, Julius di Intelligent, Kamarley and the Triple Threat Talent dancers.
The title was won by Shawntay Henry of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Wagner did not make it to the Top 5 but she won Miss Photogenic and the Christopher L. Ricketts Friendship Award.
The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Tonille Watkins of Jamaica, Raynel Caroll of Antigua and Barbuda, Isabella Sylvester of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Rachelle Legrand of Haiti. The other candidates were Leanne Morancie of Dominica, Genesis Fernandez of the Dominican Republic, Aria Collins of Grenada and Andrea Thomas-Coates of Trinidad and Tobago.
Miss Universe Belize 2019
On September 6, 2019, Wagner competed against seven other Miss Universe Belize 2019 finalists at the Belize City Civic Center in Belize City. William Neal and Ava Lovell hosted the coronation ceremony, which featured performances by Frankee Razor, Marlyn Vansen and the dance group Clique.
Razor joined Debbie Wade, Govind Kakkad, Kara McCullough and Ysela Zabaneh as members of the selection committee. Destinee Arnold won the title and the Miss Popularity award.
Runner-up to Arnold was Wagner while Markeisha Young was the second runner-up. Tianney Lamb and Aarti Sooknandan finished in the Top 5.
Sooknandan was Miss Congeniality. The other candidates were Josselyn Cerin, Ryeann Smith and Vivian Noralez.
Miss Earth 2021
In August 2021, Sooknandan was appointed Miss Earth Belize 2021. On September 28, 2021, she was replaced by Wagner.
On November 21, 2021, Wagner represented Belize at Miss Earth 2021 and competed against 88 other candidates in a virtual coronation ceremony. James Deakin hosted the show with Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco.
Wagner was crowned Miss Earth 2021. The judges were Adrienne Janic, Allan Wu, Amel Rose, Davona Finley and Lorraine Schuck.
Also crowned were Miss Earth-Air 2021 Marisa Butler of the U.S., Miss Earth-Water 2021 Romina Denecken of Chile and Miss Earth-Fire 2021 Jareerat Petsom of Thailand. Saartje Langstraat of the Netherlands, Naelah Alshorbaji of the Philippines, Anastasia Almyasheva of Russia and Maria Daniela Velasco of Venezuela finished in the Top 8.
