“ONE: Age of Dragons” is the next ONE Championship event to take place in China. Added to the card is an atomweight mixed martial arts between Ritu Phogat of Bhiwani, Haryana, India and Cindy Tiong of Labuan, Malaysia.

Both Phogat and Tiong are ONE Championship debutantes. They are also making their respective professional MMA debuts at “ONE: Age of Dragons.”

A Commonwealth wrestling gold medalist, Phogat is training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore. She is a champion wrestler and top women’s mixed martial arts prospect who comes from a family of martial artists.

At the age of 8, Phogat began training in wrestling under the guidance of her father, Mahavir Singh Phogat. The 2016 blockbuster Indian sports film “Dangal” was loosely based on her life.

Aside from a Commonwealth Wrestling Championships gold medal, Ritu has also captured a World U23 Wrestling World Championships silver medal and an Asian Wrestling Championships bronze medal. She won multiple Indian National Wrestling Championship titles, as well.

ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Age of Dragons” at the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China on November 16, 2019. Including the atomweight bout between Phogat and Tiong, the combat sports event will feature 12 matches not only in mixed martial arts but also in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series with kickboxing and Muay Thai contests.

In the main event, reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi of the Netherlands will defend his World Title against challenger “Metal Storm” Wang Wenfeng of China. In the co-main event, Tarik “The Tank” Khbabez of Morocco and Roman Kryklia of Ukraine will do battle for the inaugural ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship.

ONE Championship has also announced a partnership with Bloomage International. As the strategic partner, the latter will work closely with the Singapore-based martial arts organization in developing its brand across all platforms.
