‘ONE: Dreams of Gold’ card includes Thanh Le vs Kotetsu Boku, Stamp Fairtex vs Asha Roka

Thanh Le, 33, of Vietnam and the United States will face Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, 42, of Japan at the ONE Championship event “ONE: Dreams of Gold” at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on August 16, 2019. In the same event, Asha “Knockout Queen” Roka, 20, of India will face ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex, 21, of Thailand.

The combat sports event will feature mixed martial arts, kickboxing and Muay Thai. Among the MMA bouts are between Le and Boku and between Roka and Fairttex.

Coming out of a successful ONE Championship debut, Le is looking to string together two victories in the promotion. On May 3,  2019, he knocked out dangerous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Yusup Saadulaev, 34, of Russia at “ONE: For Honor”  with a knee at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Currently based in Metairie, Louisiana, USA, Le is training out of 50/50 Jiu-Jitsu in Virginia, USA and Mid-City MMA in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a former Legacy Fighting Allliance Featherweight Champion.

Le holds a professional MMA record of 9 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Boku now has 26 wins, 13 losses and 2 draws.

A former ONE Lightweight World Champion, Boku is no stranger to facing the best talent ONE Championship has to offer. He has taken on legends such as Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki, 36, of Japan, Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, 34, of the Philippines and Narantungalag”Tungaa” Jadambaa, 43, of Mongolia.

Boku has tremendous hands and decent grappling, which should prove to be a solid challenge for Le. With a style that incorporates elements of taekwondo and boxing, the Vietnamese-American contender will put his skills to the test against his Japanese opponent at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.”

Stamp makes her highly anticipated return to MMA competition against Roka. She first made her ONE Championship debut as a participant in “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series,” where she knocked out Rashi “Champ” Shinde, 19, of India in 19 seconds.

With dreams of one day becoming a three-sport World Champion, Stamp embarks on a remarkable journey for a MMA world title. Standing in her way is Roka, who holds unblemished professional records in both MMA and boxing.

Roka is a former Indian National Boxing Champion with fast and powerful hands. With two submissions and two knockouts out of four wins, she will make her ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.”
