Zhao Zhi Kang, 24, of China will face Paul “The Great King” Lumihi, 31, of Indonesia at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.” ONE Championship will hold the combat sports event at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on August 16, 2019.
The event will feature mixed martial arts, kickboxing and Muay Thai. One of the MMA bouts is between Zhao and Lumihi.
In the main event, Ilias Ennahachi, 23, of the Netherlands will challenge reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Baby Shark” Petchdam Petchyindee Academy, 21, of Thailand. Also on the card is the rematch between Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, 33, of Italy and “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut, 29, of Thailand for the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix semi-finals.
Zhao Zhi Kang vs Paul Lumihi
While Zhao is a Chinese Sanda Champion, Lumihi is a five-time OPMMA Featherweight Champion. They will compete in the bantamweight division.
A son of farmers, Zhao was 15 years old when he started his martial arts training in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. He made his professional MMA debut in 2012 and joined ONE Championship in 2017.
On the other hand, Lumihi was in middle school when he started his training in kung fu. “ONE: Dreams of Gold” marks his second outing in ONE Championship.
Hexigetu vs Ramon Gonzalez
Hexigetu, 34, of China will fight Ramon “The Bicolano” Gonzalez, 32, of the Philippines in the strawweight division at “ONE: Dreams of Gold”. The Chinese contender is a former CMSL Champion and his Filipino opponent is a Philippine National Kyokushin Karate Champion.
Hailing from Horqin, Inner Mongolia, Hexigetu was named Fighter Of The Year by the CMPC in 2015. Training out of China Top Team in Beijing, China, he made his professional MMA debut in 2014 and joined ONE Championship in 2017.
On the other hand, Gonzales made his professional MMA debut in 2009 and joined ONE Championship in 2015. He is training out of Hitman MMA in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines and in Kuwait Fight Club in Salmiya, Kuwait and he represents Team Kyokushin.
