Japan and Thailand were among the 17 countries represented at “ONE: Call to Greatness.” It was the first ONE Championship event in 2019 to be held in Singapore.
Featuring six mixed martial arts matches, four kickboxing contests and one Muay Thai bout, “ONE: Call to Greatness” took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on February 22, 2019. In the sixth bout of the evening, Masahide “Crazy Rabbit” Kudo, 27, of Japan faced Petchdam Petchyindee Academy, 20, of Thailand, who was formerly known as Petchdam Gaiyanghadao.

Petchdam is a World Boxing Council Muay Thai World Champion. “ONE: Call to Greatness” marked his third ONE Super Series bout.
When Petchdam made his ONE Super Series debut at “ONE: Pursuit of Power” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 13, 2018, he knocked out Josh “Timebomb” Tonna, 30, of Australia. On October 6, 2018, the Thai fighter knocked out Kenny “The Pitbull” Tse, 23, of Australia at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Originally from Gunma Prefecture, Kantō, Japan, Kudo is training out of Shinjuku Lefty Gym in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. He is a RISE Featherweight Champion
“ONE: Call to Greatness” marked Kudo’s second ONE Super Series bout. In his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes,” he lost to Singtongnoi Por Telakun, 38, of Thailand.
Fight Result
Kudo and Petchdam competed in a kickboxing bout in the flyweight division at “ONE: Call to Greatness.” Oliver Coste served as the referee.
Petchdam turned in a tremendous striking performance. Operating behind his southpaw stance, he torched Kudo with his piston-like left roundhouse kicks right off the bat.
Coste put a stop to the contest after 35 seconds in the second round. Petchdam knocked out Kudo with a solid left straight.
Winning at “ONE: Call to Greatness” improved Petchdam’s professional kickboxing and Muay Thai record to 93 wins, 15 losses and 7 draws. On the other hand, Kudo now has 17 wins, 10 losses and 3 draws.
“ONE” Call to Greatness” Main Event
In the main event of the evening, Stamp Fairtex, 21, of Thailand and Janet Todd, 33 of the U.S. competed for the inaugural ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Championship title. The Thai contender won via unanimous decision.
Argentina, Cambodia, China, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey and the United States were also represented at “ONE: Call to Greatness.” Check the complete results here.
