Tara Jensen’s stardom from Miss Danmark 2018 to Miss World 2018

Tara Ida Hashim Jensen, 18, of Hvidovre, Denmark represented Denmark at Miss World 2018. It was the 68th edition of the international beauty pageant based in London, England, United Kingdom.

On September 12, 2018, Jensen competed against 29 other Miss Danmark 2018 candidates at the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her fellow Hvidovre resident Louise Sander Henriksen, 23, won the title.

Jensen was runner-up to Henriksen. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Louise Arild of Frederiksberg, Celina Riel of Copenhagen and Natasja Kunde of Copenhagen.

On September 26, 2018, Miss Danmark Organization chief executive officer Lisa Lents announced the new Miss Danmark 2018 winners following Henriksen’s resignation. Jensen became the new Miss Danmark 2018.

As the new first runner-up, Arild was crowned Miss International Denmark 2018. Riel was promoted to second runner-up.

On December 8, 2018, Jensen represented Denmark at Miss World 2018. She and 117 other candidates competed for the title at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China.

It was Vanessa Ponce of Mexico who won the title. Nicolene Limsnukan of Thailand was the first runner-up.

Maria Vasilevich of Belarus, Kadijah Robinson of Jamaica and Quiin Abenakyo of Uganda finished in the Top 5. Jensen was unplaced.

Limsnukan was Miss World Asia 2018, Vasilevich was Miss World Europe 2018, Robinson was Miss World Caribbean 2018 and Abenakyo was Miss World Africa 3018. Also crowned were Miss World Americas 2018 Solaris Barba of Panama and Miss World Oceania 2018 Jessica Tyson of New Zealand.
