Jeremy “The Jaguar” Miado, 25, can see how much Kritsada “Dream Man” Kongsrichai, 26, of Thailand wants to win their bout at “ONE: Spirit of a Warrior” at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on June 29, 2018. Hailing from Marikina City, Metro Manila, Philippines, the former will be the fourth Filipino mixed martial artist to compete against the Thai grappler.

“He is hungry to win,” Miado said of Kongsrichai. “But I am ready for him.”

Kongsrichai lost to his first Filipino opponent Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22, at “ONE: Heroes of the World” on August 13, 2016 via rear-naked submission. The Thai fighter defeated Filipino siblings Rabin “The Rock” Catalan, 32, and Robin Catalan, 27, via technical knockout at “ONE: Warriors of the World” on December 9, 2017 and at “ONE: Iron Will” on March 24, 2018, respectively.

At “ONE: Iron Will,” Kongsrichai suplexed Robin and finished him off with punches at 1:40 of Round 1 but hours after the bout, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong issued a statement declaring that the move was illegal. As a result, Robin was awarded with the win via disqualification.

“ONE: Spirit of a Warrior” gives Kongsrichai a chance to redeem himself. It will be the sixth time he is competing in the ONE Championship cage.

“I can really feel that my opponent wants to win in our fight because of what happened,” Miado commented. “It’s disappointing on his part because he was already declared as the winner. That kind of mindset makes him more dangerous.”

Miado views this upcoming strawweight tilt with Kongsrichai as the perfect platform to see where his talent truly stands. The Filipino contender explained, “I consider myself a striker first and foremost, but I can take the bout to the ground.”

“I am capable of competing anywhere whether it is on the feet or on the mat,” Miado continued. “I have been working a lot on my wrestling and my Jiu-Jitsu, so I am confident I can handle any situation that happens in the cage.”
