Rapper and actor Curtis James “50 Cent” Jackson III, a protégé of Marshall Bruce “Eminem” Mathers III, took to Twitter to congratulate undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. On August 26, 2017, Mayweather defeated Ultimate Fighting Championship‘s lightweight champion Conor McGregor in a boxing superfight at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, United States.
50 Cent tweeted a photo of his face and the number zero. By beating the Irish mixed martial artist, the American boxer improved his professional boxing record to 50 wins and 0 loss.
Many boxing fans expected McGregor to lose and not even last long in the bout against Mayweather. However, the Irish UFC fighter managed to last for 10 rounds before the referee stopped the fight and declared the American boxer the winner via technical knockout.
McGregor is a former UFC featherweight champion. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 21 wins and 3 losses.
On November 30, 2016, McGregor obtained a professional boxing license from the California State Athletic Commission. His professional boxing debut was confirmed six months later.
In other news, 50 Cent is set to release his sixth studio album titled “Street King Immortal. It has yet to be confirmed whether or not he is one of the collaborators to be featured in Eminem’s upcoming ninth studio album expected to be released before 2018.
